John & Pearl started small and has now transformed into an international jewelry and accessories business, stocked in Harvey Nichols, Harrods and high street and luxury outlets across the ME, Asia, Europe and Central America. For me, this pivotal transformation to my brand’s success coincided with the education and applied workshops I experienced during Brand Amplifier. It was an honour to be selected to take part in the programme, as branding and marketing advice is so expensive yet invaluable for a start-up. Brand Amplifier gave me valuable support and confidence to help to grow my brand and move my business forward.

Throughout the programme I found great support and encouragement from the mentors and the other finalists. It was really great to connect with like- minded individuals and gain from all of their combined knowledge and success.
For our final task, when presenting my business to a panel of women with no prior knowledge of my label, I realised the power of speaking clearly and with conviction about my brand. They helped me see that talking about what I love doing, my passion, was the key to my brand’s success. All of the hours of talking about our businesses in Brand Amplifier meetings gave me the confidence to pitch naturally and knowledgeably about mine, which led to clinching 2nd place in my Brand Amplifier edition.
I use these pitching skills nearly every day in supplier negotiations and sales meetings. My success in the Brand Amplifier programme gave me the confidence to develop significantly and the credentials to secure addtional funding grants from the UKFT for development Internationally.
At John & Pearl we continue to aim high, to grow better before growing bigger and fly the flag for British accessories on the International circuit.
